Healing Abutment / Gingival Former
Healing abutment is a cap that fixed on the fixture after 4-8 weeks.
In some cases dentist inserts the Healing instead of the cover screw after 2-3 months. The role of healing is to promote gingival soft tissue restoration which is necessary for the impression and abutment insertion. After 1-2 weeks of healing embedment, dentist replaced it with impression coping for impression and then dentist reinserts the healing until the dental prosthesis gets ready.
