AH Plus Root Canal Sealer

Based on an Epoxy-Amine Resin

Ideal for permanent sealing according to the highest standards

    

AH Plus is a paste / paste two-component paste to seal the root canal. Amino epoxy resin base and incorporates the following characteristics: Long-term sealing, magnificent dimensional stability, self-adhesive properties, great radiopacity.

  • AH Plus shows a very good adhesion of 6.2MPa.
  • Its high viscosity and its minimal expansion during setting time are also two conditions responsible for its magnificent sealing properties.
  • Biocompatibility Studies show that AH Plus has moderate antimicrobial properties that have the potential to reduce micro-organisms within the root canal significantly; but at the same time, as AH Plus is an epoxy resin-based sealant, it does not cause irritation to periapical tissues. When set, it is considered biologically inert.
  • The radiopacity of the materials to seal the root canals is the most important clinical criterion in controlling the success of endodontic treatment. To have perfect visibility of the sealing material even when placed in thin layers, the material must be radiopaque. The resulting contrast of the material inside the root canal allows to assess the quality of the seal.
