Indications

Complete Primer/Unfilled Resin (red cap) is a bonding agent for all light-cure situations:

1)  Direct resin bonding of all Class I through Class V restorations
2)  Diastema closures
3)  Direct composite veneers
4)  Cementation of porcelain laminate veneers and indirect composite veneers
5)  Porcelain repairs, resin repairs, and porcelain fused to metal repairs
6)  Anywhere that light activation of direct restorations is desired

Applications:

- Direct Composite

1. Etch tooth structure for 20 seconds with 37% phosphoric acid (Etching Gel) followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Enamel should remain dry, keep dentin moist.
2. Place 2 drops of COMPLETE Primer/Unfilled Resin (red cap) in a mixing well. Thoroughly coat prepared tooth with 2 successive coats. Gently air thin. Apply an additional coat, air thin and light cure for 20 seconds. Make sure all surfaces have a shiny appearance; if not, apply an additional coat, air dry, and light cure 20 seconds.
3. Layer direct composite, for example RENAMEL Microfill.

- Cementation of Porcelain Veneer or Indirect Composites

1. Etch tooth structure 20 seconds with 37% phosphoric acid (Etching Gel) followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Enamel should remain dry, keep dentin moist. Etch porcelain for 4 minutes with hydrofluoric acid (PorcelEtch) and silanate(SILANATOR). If you are working with indirect composite, microetchif applicable.
2. Place 2 drops of COMPLETE Primer/Unfilled Resin (red cap) in a mixing well. Thoroughly coat prepared tooth with 2 successive coats and dry with a gentle stream of air. Do not light cure. Make sure all surfaces have a shiny appearance; if not, apply an additional coat and air dry.
3. Apply 1 generous coat of COMPLETE Primer/Unfilled Resin (red cap) to the veneer or composite restoration and air dry, do not light cure.
4. Cement restorations using a light-cure resin luting cement such as INSURE. Light cure each surface for 60 seconds as applicable.

- Bonding to Metal for Intra-Oral Repairs

1. Microetchthe metal to be bonded with aluminum oxide followed by thorough rinsing and drying.
2. Place 1 or 2 drops of COMPLETE Primer/Unfilled Resin (red cap) in a mixing well. Thoroughly coat the metal surface and gently air thin. Make sure all surfaces have a shiny appearance; if not, apply an additional coat and air dry. Light cure for 20 seconds.
3. Complete repair with microfill or hybrid composite such as RENAMEL Microfill or RENAMEL Universal Microhybrid.

- Cementation of Resin Retained Bridge

1. Microetchbridge wings with aluminum oxide. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry.
2. Etch tooth structure for 20 seconds with 37% phosphoric acid (Etching Gel) followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Enamel should remain dry, keep dentin moist.
3. Place 1 or 2 drops of COMPLETE Primer/Unfilled Resin (red cap) in a mixing well. Apply to etched tooth structure and air dry. Apply an additional coat and dry thoroughly. Bonded surfaces should appear shiny. Do not light cure.
4. Apply 1 coat of COMPLETE to the bridge wings. Air thin but do not light cure. Apply a resin luting agent such as INSURE to the bridge wings and seat restoration. Light cure labial and
lingual for 60 seconds on each surface.

- Porcelain Repair

1. Prepare and etch all surfaces as needed. Microetchmetal; etch porcelain with hydrofluoric acid (PorcelEtch) for 4 minutes and silanate (SILANATOR); etch tooth structure, when present, for 20 seconds with 37% phosphoric acid (Etching Gel).
2. Place 1 or 2 drops of COMPLETE Primer/Unfilled Resin (red cap) in a mixing well. Apply to prepared surfaces and air dry. Apply an additional coat and dry thoroughly. Bonded surfaces should appear shiny. Light cure for 20 seconds.
3. Layer microhybridor microfill composite such as RENAMEL and light cure.

- Desensitization

1. Etch tooth structure for 20 seconds with 37% phosphoric acid (Etching Gel) followed by
thorough rinsing and drying. Enamel should remain dry, keep dentin moist.
2. In a mixing well, mix 2 drops of COMPLETE Primer/Unfilled Resin (red cap) and 1 drop of
COMPLETE Dual-Cure Catalyst (black cap). Apply mixed COMPLETE to the cavity preparation, avoid pooling. Air dry. Apply a second coat and air dry, do not air thin but avoid pooling especially in internal line angles. Do not light cure.
3. Immediately begin condensation of amalgam. Finish restoration in the usual fashion.

- Bonding a Fractured Tooth Segment

1. Etch the tooth and tooth fragment for 20 seconds with 37% phosphoric acid (Etching Gel) followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Enamel should remain dry, keep dentin moist.
2. Place 2 drops of COMPLETE Primer/Unfilled Resin (red cap) in a mixing well. Coat etched= surfaces and dry with a gentle stream of air, do not pool. Apply a second coat, air dry.
Make sure all surfaces have a shiny appearance; if not, apply an additional coat and air dry.
3. Place a selected shade of light-cure resin luting cement such as INSURE on the primed surfaces and seat fragment. Light cure thoroughly. Finish as needed and bond light-cure composite such as RENAMEL Microfill to the cement line if applicable.
