The TRISSODIUM E.D.T.A Liquid is a widely used product in the preparation of root canal walls, previously to the filling. It acts demineralizing dentinal particles by chelating the ions of calcium and magnesium, facilitating its dissolution and absorption, revealing itself as an effective chelating and lubricant agent. It is also effective in the dentinal scrap removal during the periodontal therapy, displaying the collagen and facilitating the tack of the conjunctive tissue treated on the root surface. This composition decalcifies the dentine to a depth of 10 to 30 µm in 5 minutes. Its solubility arrives to 30% and its pH between 7,0 and 8,0 is compatible with living tissues, conferring to the product practically null tissular irritation.
