Clinical procedures

Bleaching

  1. Remove the cap from the luer lock syringe and secure a disposable applicator.
  2. Rince thoroughly the designed area and slightly dry the surface of the teeth, gingival third, the embrasures or the gaps to fill.
  3. Apply Notre Dam onto the gingival and the embrasures. If some product flows in excess onto the enamel, cure the excess for 5 seconds and use a mouth spatula to remove it. For the embrasures, be sure that the resin injected from the vestibular side will appear on the lingual side. This extension will add retention to the resin barrier.
  4. When the barrier is applied for bleaching, extend the resin barrier beyond the last tooth to be bleached.
  5. The resin barrier should be about 5-6mm height and 2 mm thick.
  6. Light-cure for 20 seconds.

Clean-up procedure

1. Rince thoroughly the treated area to eliminate the whitening gel and vacuum.

2. Lift the polymerized dam, using a probe or a spatula. The interproximal dam is eliminated by using a probe and/or floss.

3. Rince again the gum and interproximal areas.
