“In conclusion, the FS stentless valve is shown to be safe to implant and to have excellent hemodynamic and midterm performance. Patients who may profit most from its use are high-risk patients with active endocarditis, impaired LV function, and severe LVH, particularly with a small aortic root, and those who benefit from avoidance of anticoagulation with warfarin. Owing to the favorable EOA, the valve appears particularly attractive for patients at risk for PPM.”
