RBM and BioTite-H surface in Dio

RBM surface:

RBM (Resorbable Blast Media) is an implant surface treatment whereby micro-particle of the hydroxyapatite-derived beta-Tricalcium phosphate, alpha-Tcp, TTCp and calcium-pyrophosphate (CPP) are impregnated into the titanium surface through high pressure blasting techniques in order to obtain an unparalleled micro-surface roughness.

BioTite-H surface:

Dio - BioTite-H

Dio coating Calcium-Phosphate-derived chemical component (Brushite, CaHPO) on RBM surface that it named BioTite-H.

Compared to the well-known Hydroxyapetite, Brushite is easily soluble, providing highly concentrated calcium ions and Phosphate ions, which bring rapid bone growth and high mineraslization, acting as an anchor during the mineralization process.

Mechanisms of optimization Osseointegration by Brushite:

  1. Capillary action ---> Good blood supply
  2. Increased concentration of Ca, Po4 by controlled surface absorption
  3. Increases the amount of bone tissue and implant surface contact
  4. Increased bone tissue ---> Stronger osseointegration
  5. Bio-active surface ---> Rapid osseointegration
  6. Favorable clinical results ---> Healing process takes on around 7 weeks for the lower jaw and approximately 12 weeks for the upper jaw (Depending on the bone condition and health of the patient, healing can be achieved in as little as 4 weeks)

BioTite-H features:

  • Immediate Loading Success Rate
  • Surface Treatment Thickness
  • Improved Osseointegration ---> From 49.8% to 73% (about a 23% increase)
  • Wettability ---> Absorb the blood ---> Make contact with blood
