Light Curing Resin Based Dental Restorative Material

A Epic resin is a high density nano-hybrid composite resin, photopolymerizable, radiopaque and fluorescent. Composed of matrix of methacrylic monomers, inorganic filler, primers, stabilizer, preservative and pigments.

Benefits

- In its inorganic composition a mixture of micro and nanoparticles, with size varying between 5 nm to 2 µm. This size distribution allows for more efficient load compaction, in which smaller particles fill the spaces between the larger particles

- It has fluorescence and excellent finish and polishing, as well as excellent mechanical properties, which make it possible to be used both for previous restorations, including veneers, and for later restorations.

- Complete color system, with colors for enamel, dentin, body, effects and pigments.

- Several factors contribute to an efficient photoactivation: incidence of light in the spectrum from 400 to 500 nm, power of the photo-activator device, distance from the light source, exposure time and thickness of the material layer.

COMPOSITION

• Its formulation contains inorganic particles varying between 5 nm and 2 µm.
• Matrix of methacrylic monomers, inorganic fillers, initiators, stabilizer, preservative and pigments.

KEY SPECIFICATIONS

• Setting time of 40 ± 10 seconds, if using a 400mW/cm2 curing light (The indicated light-curing range is 16 Joules)
